Pluzine is the small town lied on the Pivska Lake, being the river Piva canyon, flooded during hydroelectric station construction. One of the main sights of Northern Montenegro – Piva Monastery, , is located to the South of the town. The Monastery was built in 1573-1586 under the Herzegovina metropolitan Savatij Sokolovic. During Turkish occupation, construction became possible due to Savatij’s uncle Mehmed-Pasha Sokolovic, one of the Constantinopolitan viziers. In the XVII century the interior walls were painted by Kotor's masters with the frescoes that had about 1260 sq.m in size. In 1982 before the canyon flooding, the Monastery was dismantled and relocated 2 km. from its historical place. Layer of frescoes were preliminary removed, and after building renewal, lied back in its place again.
To the North of Pluzine just after a bridge over Piva, the road to Zabljak via village Trsa splits off from the main road. Its length is 47 km included 18 km gravel road (from May till September it is passable for all types of motor cars). The road runs along the highest Montenegrin mountain peaks, here one can enjoy fantastic views of wild mountain nature.
